Many people have been involved in supporting me to get this moratorium petition underway in the first place, and then in getting the word out to people to sign.
In particular I wish to thank: Richard, my partner, invaluable particularly with his moral support and his Facebook habit; Mark who with unfailing patience speedily and without fuss set up the actual petition on his site, www.contact.ie; Charlotte of www.charlottekitto.com, who bestowed her wordpress website wizardry on this technophobe with graceful patience; Martyn for his glorious granny cartoon; my offspring who sent me positive energy and supportive words; my GM-concerned friends and colleagues whose moral and practical support helped. A special word of thanks to those of you who didn’t wish public acknowledgement of support for fear of work or business repercussions. And to my grandchildren, the thought of whose possibly blighted future has given me the energy to persevere.
A heartfelt thank-you to you all and I hereby wish for this petition be a resounding success and bring some sanity to Ireland’s GM crop and food decision-making.
