As this site is run by one granny (with oodles of demands on her time) with a few volunteers and press-ganged kin, friends and acquaintances, it does not reach the state of perfection desired in all aspects. Please forgive its shortcomings. Optimal, all things being considered, is the aim. While accuracy is strived for at all times it may not always be achieved. In some cases, where I am unable to make a finer point, I have resorted to generalisations. Some of these generalisations will rankle with very knowledgable people (note the avoidance of the term ‘expert’: see glossary) and for that I apologise in advance.
